At Westernacher Consulting, we are looking for an experienced SAP Platform Solution Architect to join our global Platform Engineering CoE. This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with strong expertise across SAP BASIS, Security, BTP, integration, and AI-enabled platform solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Target architectures: on-prem / RISE / GROW, S/4HANA, BTP subaccounts, destinations, connectivity.
- Network topology & secure landscape: SAP Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, reverse proxy, firewall zones / DMZ, load balancing, SNC / TLS, port mapping.
- Identity & access: IAS, IPS, XSUAA, IAG, corporate IdP federation, role governance.
- SAP Security: Understand and estimate efforts required security subjects and address
- SAP Business AI platform: AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, Joule / Joule Studio, AI Agent Hub; agent identity & zero-trust.
- Presales: qualify opportunities, shape solutions, size effort (LoE / BoM), respond to RFI / RFP, deliver technical demos.
- Integration architecture: SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-third-party; sync / async, API / event / file, protocol & auth selection (OAuth2 / SAML / mTLS / PrincipalPropagation).
- Migrations: NEO → CF, system conversion, SUM / DMO.
- Reusable CoE assets: reference architectures, accelerators, PoVs.
Your Experience and Skills
Must-Have
- 8+ yrs SAP BASIS + SAP Security, hands-on architecture.
- RISE / GROW with SAP, S/4HANA conversion.
- Must have experience working on brownfield - greenfield conversion
- Network topology: Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, reverse proxy, DMZ / firewall design, SNC, TLS.
- SAP BTP: subaccounts, destinations, XSUAA, Cloud Foundry.
- Identity: IAS / IPS, SAML / OIDC federation.
- Core BASIS: SUM, STMS, system copy / refresh, HANA admin.
- Authorization design (roles, profiles, SoD).
- Integration requirements analysis: SAP-to-SAP, SAP-to-third-party; interface patterns, Cloud Connector, Integration Suite / Edge Integration Cell.
- SAP Business AI familiarity: AI Core / Gen AI Hub / Joule / Agent Hub.
- Presales exposure: RFP responses, solution sizing, or technical demos.
- Client-facing English; global time-zone flexibility.
Nice-to-Have
- Cloud ALM, SAP Cloud Identity Access Governance (IAG), Enterprise Threat Detection (ETD), vulnerability management.
- Hyperscaler (AWS / Azure / GCP) SAP workloads, security groups.
- RAG / prompt patterns, Document Information Extraction on BTP.
- SAP certifications (BTP, Security, HANA).
