Westernacher is the perfect place. We are seeking a Global IT Security Specialist for our growing team in India.
Your Respoinsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents from various sources, including SIEM systems such as Microsoft Sentinel, IDS/IPS, and other security tools such as Defender.
- Monitor incidents sent by colleagues to the ticketing system.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities (CVEs) and security incidents.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents to determine the root cause and impact.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and implement remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on security incidents and vulnerability management activities.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices.
Your Experience and skills
- Total IT experience should be 6-8years
- Relevant Experience 2-3 yrs in Endpoint security.
- Proven experience in IT security incident monitoring and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience in IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Understanding of SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, KQL) for automation of security tasks.
- Understanding of network protocols and security architecture.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with cloud security and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of Azure log analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
