At Westernacher Consulting, we are expanding our footprint in the energy sector to support a major client undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced SAP VIM Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust invoice management solutions.
This role is critical in helping our client modernize their financial operations, improve invoice processing efficiency, and ensure compliance within a complex and highly regulated industry. You will play a key role in shaping scalable, future-ready architectures that integrate seamlessly within the broader SAP ecosystem.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand invoice processing requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Define end-to-end solution architecture, including integration with SAP S/4HANA, OpenText VIM, and related systems
- Drive best practices in document processing, workflow automation, and exception handling
- Oversee system configuration, customization, and enhancements related to VIM
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and energy sector compliance requirements
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and functional teams
- Support testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
- Identify performance optimization opportunities and ensure system scalability
- Participate in cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support
Your Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience with SAP VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) by OpenText
- Strong background in SAP Finance (FI), including Accounts Payable processes
- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA environments
- Deep understanding of invoice lifecycle management and document processing
- Experience designing and implementing workflow solutions within SAP
- Integration experience with SAP modules such as MM, FI, and external systems
- Knowledge of OCR, document capture, and automation tools
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 for user experience enhancements is a plus
- Strong understanding of data structures, APIs, and system integration patterns
- Prior experience working with clients in the energy or utilities sector is highly preferred
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the energy industry
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
- Leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
