Legal

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business and corporate functions.
• Support contract lifecycle activities, including amendments, renewals and template development.
• Assist with corporate governance matters and the maintenance of corporate documentation.
• Liaise with external legal counsel whenever required.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.

Compliance

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System in line with Volkswagen Group requirements and applicable legislation.
• Develop, review and implement internal policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Advise business stakeholders on compliance-related matters, including anti-corruption, conflicts of interest and other ethics topics.
• Perform compliance assessments of third parties and support integrity due diligence activities.
• Support the implementation of compliance training and awareness initiatives across the organisation.
• Contribute to compliance reporting and respond to Group compliance requests.

Data Protection

• Provide day-to-day advice on GDPR and privacy matters across business operations and software development projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and other privacy-related contractual clauses.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.
• Support the business departments with the maintenance of records of processing activities.
• Support the management of personal data incidents and data subject requests.
• Promote privacy by design principles throughout projects and business processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an in-house legal department or a law firm with exposure to commercial law, compliance and/or data protection.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of commercial contracts, GDPR and compliance frameworks.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Interest in emerging technology regulation, including artificial intelligence.
• Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgement.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
