About the Role
This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave, with an expected duration of approximately 12 months under an uncertain term employment contract.
We are looking for an experienced Business Transformation Specialist to join the Integrated Management Systems team and lead cross-functional process transformation initiatives across VWGDS. The role spans the full transformation lifecycle, from understanding business challenges and redesigning processes to aligning stakeholders, supporting implementation and ensuring sustainable adoption of change. The ideal candidate combines strong process management expertise with business analysis, project management, change management, and continuous improvement capabilities, acting as a bridge between business, operations, and technology.
You'll be focused in:
• Lead transformation and process improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation and adoption, both locally and cross-countries
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions independently with stakeholders to define solutions, align expectations and drive decisions across multiple teams and functions
• Model and document processes using BPMN and established Business Process Management practices
• Analyze existing processes (AS-IS), identifying cycle times, inefficiencies, risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Translate business challenges and operational needs into structured requirements and improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities for digitalization, automation and workflow optimization
• Assess the operational impact of proposed solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Prioritize improvement opportunities based on business value, risk and operational impact
• Design future-state processes (TO-BE) aligned with business objectives, governance requirements and operational needs
• Define process KPIs and performance metrics
• Establish monitoring mechanisms to track process performance over time
• Support the implementation of transformation initiatives
In order to succeed you will need:
• Higher education degree in Management, STEM or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Business Transformation, Project Management, Process Improvement, and Operational Excellence
• Proven experience leading process improvement and process governance initiatives
• Strong knowledge in BPMN 2.0
• Knowledge in BTM² (nice to have)
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), and their application in process transformation and automation
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge or certification
• Knowledge in change management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to structure ambiguity and transform complex challenges into pragmatic solutions
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders
