SAP Release Manager

You’ll be focused on:
• Building and defining release timelines, including rollout and upgrade projects, with detailed planning down to resource allocation and milestone tracking.
• Creating and maintaining processes such as the Requirements Process (aligned with the business requirements manager), Release Policy, and Release Management Manual.
• Designing cross-solution release and rollout strategies, orchestrating deployment plans with technical teams, and aligning with PI Planning.
• Guiding operational steering and capacity management across development streams to ensure workload balance, prioritization, and alignment of cross-stream dependencies.
• Documenting release plans, deployment strategies, and risk mitigation measures while ensuring strict control of release budgets
In order to succeed, you’ll need:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable work experience.
• Proven experience working as a Release Manager or in a similar role.
• Expert knowledge in Software Release Management and SAP deployment/landscape management.
• Basic know-how in software development tools and methods.
• Experience with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
• Ability to solve technical issues related to transports under time constraints.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Fluent Business English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and PI Planning processes.
• Experience in risk management and quality assurance during release cycles.
• Knowledge of integration testing and performance validation for SAP environments.
