Your Role

    • You are part of a team responsible for developing and managing (or advising on) state-of-the-art business solutions
    • You are actively building bridges with our customers and are developing key components completing the solutions which they love to use
    • You are a key player in the creation of effective customer journeys and a great customer experience
    • You are an important contributor in bringing your team to a higher level of maturityYou have at least 2-3 years of experience working at SaaS companies, and building products well-tested products

Your Responsinilities

    • You are a member of a team
    • You actively invest in your knowledge and expertise regarding your area of expertise and follow industry trends
    • Roadmap advisory:
    • You are estimating required effort given high-level or detailed product requirements, and are clear about risks and assumptions
    • You participate in the planning activities and advise on priority setting
    • Solution development (or advisory to Platform customers)
    • You interact and collaborate with customers to improve understanding of the business’s software need
    • You are providing recommendations and advice from a solution perspective
    • You contribute in determining how much analysis is needed for establishing the initial high-level picture
    • You collaborate with the product owner role to define design, development and support toolsets
    • You support the product owner role in defining the overall solution delivery approach
    • You establish the required level of detail before delivery of expected solutions by using relevant requirements models (eg: use cases, NFR descriptions, UI prototypes, data (flow) models, business rules, etc…)
    • You develop user stories (incl splitting, right sizing for delivery)
    • You support the product owner role with respect to backlog grooming
    • You describe tests and generate examples with the aim of communicating requirements and ensuring consistent understanding of expected solution behaviour
    • You are estimating required effort given product requirements
    • You are optimising your solution building approach for efficient and fast value creation, leading to a shorter time to market
    • You help establishing a shared understanding on specific features amongst team members during delivery (i.e. during iterations)
    • You design, code, test, debug, document and maintain business-critical solution components following applicable standards and best practices
    • You are performing code reviews against applicable standards and best practices
    • You are able to perform end-to-end functional validation (acceptance) on business solutions
    • You aim for a high-quality product and support its move to production/live environment
    • You keep all data on Scrum/Kanban boards as current as possible
    • You contribute to the improvement of our development and test environment tooling and software as needed
    • Solution operations
    • You provide functional & technical support to both internal and external users
    • You participate in problem solving for end-users (3rd line)People development
    • You mentor junior members of the team and new hires towards maturity

Skills and Knowledge

    • Competent in Ruby as programming language
    • Competent in Rails as framework for web development
    • Competent in API development (REST API)Competent in HTML, CSS and Javascript as front-end languages
    • Competent with database systems & SQLExperience with Identity and Access Management (incl. SSO)
    • Experience with agile software development practices
    • Agile testing practicesStrong knowledge of the Silverfin platform and its service offering
    • Broad accountancy knowledge in multiple markets (Understanding of working papers, financial statements & tax in minimum 2 countries)
    • Agile requirements modelling techniquesSoftware development tooling (IDE)
    • Basic DevOps practices
