Because of our continued growth in the Netherlands, we’re looking for a Solution Developer to join our NL Business Solutions team. You’ll combine your accounting expertise with technology to build and improve solutions on Silverfin’s accounting platform, helping accounting firms work more efficiently, consistently and at scale.

You might be a qualified accountant, or you may have several years of experience working in an accounting firm and be ready for a different kind of challenge. You don’t need a coding background: we’ll teach you how to build and develop the templates our clients use every day.

What matters most is your judgement. As we evolve how solutions are built and delivered at Silverfin, your focus will increasingly be on understanding what needs to be built, assessing whether it works for the firms using it, and continuously improving it. The role is becoming less about writing everything from scratch and more about specifying, reviewing and improving solutions.

How we use AI

AI is part of the everyday way we work, rather than an occasional add-on. As a Solution Developer, you’ll use AI-assisted development and review tools to help write and refactor code, generate tests, debug issues and review changes before they are released.

Used well, these tools take away some of the more repetitive work and create more space for the accounting judgement, problem-solving and understanding of our clients that make our solutions valuable. You remain responsible for critically reviewing and validating what AI produces, ensuring that every solution meets our standards for accuracy and quality.

• Translate accounting workflows, client needs and market requirements into scalable templates and solutions within the Silverfin’s accounting platform.

• Build, maintain and improve templates using our development framework, with training provided and the technologies you need for the role.

• Use AI-assisted tools throughout the development and review process.

• Bring your accounting knowledge into the product, helping ensure our solutions reflect the real day-to-day needs of accounting firms.

• Work closely with Product, colleagues and clients to understand requirements and turn them into intuitive, effective solutions.

• Contribute to a smooth customer experience by ensuring templates are logical, reliable and easy to use.

• Keep your knowledge of the Dutch accounting market, relevant regulations and emerging technology up to date.

• You consistently deliver high-quality templates and improvements in line with agreed sprint priorities and timelines.

• The solutions you build are accurate, reliable and intuitive, resulting in a positive experience for our clients.

• Within your first few months, you’re comfortable reading and assessing existing code and starting to make smaller changes yourself, even if you’re not yet writing much from scratch.

• You use AI and other development tools effectively to work more efficiently, solve problems and continuously improve the quality of your work.

• Product, colleagues and clients see you as a trusted partner who understands both the accounting challenge and how to translate it into a technical solution.

• Over time, you develop deep knowledge of our Dutch solution portfolio and become a recognised point of contact within the team for questions related to it.

• You keep track of how the solutions you build are being adopted and take action where uptake is lower than expected.
