Who we are?

Silverfin is a cloud first solution that enables accountants to streamline significant parts of their workload and spend more time on value adding activities.

Silverfin solves a very real problem: it automates a large chunk of the repetitive tasks that people working in financial services spend their time on and improve communication with their customers.

Recognised as an industry leader, we have picked up many accolades, including in 2021 winning Deloitte Belgium’s Technology Fast 50 award for most sustainable growth - an award given to the company with the best percentage growth over the last four years.

Our headquarters is in Ghent Belgium, from where we have successfully launched activities in BeNeLux and the UK. From all our offices and via our remote teams, we’re serving a strongly growing customer base, including the big 4, in 15 countries with 180+ colleagues. Since November 2023 we are proudly part of  Visma - the European leader in mission-critical cloud software, enjoying the power of the Visma brand and resources whilst retaining business autonomy and go-to-market freedom.

At Silverfin, we're an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status.
We're committed to elevating talent by creating an environment where we can all thrive together. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily check every single box, please consider applying. We'd love to hear how you might contribute to our mission and our team.

How would you support our success?

We’re looking for a hard-working and ambitious Field Marketing Executive who can support the marketing team with Benelux marketing & event activities but with a strong focus on the Flanders region.

Flanders is our most mature market with the largest customer base. This means we organise a lot of events that many customers attend. One of which is Fast Forward Flanders, the flagship inspirational event within Silverfin and even in the Flemish market.

That means organising events and its budgets will be a very important responsibility in this role, next to regular marketing campaigns.

The location of work is the Silverfin head office in Ghent, while sometimes coordinating events (during office hours) outside the office.  We provide a permanent contract on a full-time basis.

As part of this journey, you'll be in sync with a fantastic team of 5 marketing team members in Belgium and another 5 in the UK.  You’ll report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager for Benelux. Your main focus region is BE while additional supporting NL and LUX.

Silverfin operates at lightning speed, with a constant buzz of activities for both users and prospects, not to mention our incredible team. We also prioritise the well-being of our people, offering a range of initiatives. Envision yourself joining our international Marketing team and a diverse, driven Belgian team, and growing along with Silverfin.

Your responsibilities

Coordinate events A-Z

    • This is a Flanders-focused marketing role (our most mature market, see chapter above) and thus this type of work will always be present in your planning. Both for hosted events as well as 3rd party events. (to be clear this does not mean your physical presence is required at all events, it’s more about the preparation and coordination ahead) Events will often form the momentum/capstone of your marketing campaigns.
    • Fast Forward Flanders (>450 accountants attending and still growing) being the most important event, the work on this event takes a lead time of 6 months every year while simultaneously working on your other campaigns and projects.
    • Coordination of events means also managing the budget and working with legal on reviewing agreements with event agencies, partners, venues, etc.
    • The ability and experience to work under pressure and face deadlines that cannot move, because events happen on the dates communicated to customers. They can’t be pushed forward.
    • Working with playbooks, checklists, budget files and our project management tool called Monday, planning sheets, holding presentations to internal stakeholders, pitches, etc.
    • Finally have a creative mind but without sacrificing being very meticulous on maintaining documentation and project management skills. No concessions on this latter part can be made.

Hubspot

    • Set up landing pages, forms, workflows and submit mass emails

Stakeholders Management

    • Frequent syncs with sales, product, and customer success colleagues or managers in order to run campaigns/events with stakeholder buy-in

Essential requirements

    • Bachelor/Master in Marketing and proven B2B marketing experience (1y-3y).
    • We’re looking for a self-starter with a real hands-on and go-getter attitude, with eagerness to deliver results and a get-things-done mindset.
    • Event planning and coordination
    • Marketing budget management
    • Devise, create, execute and report on marketing campaigns or event activities
