Silverfin is in search of an Account Manager to enhance our services for existing clients in Belgium.

As an Account Manager, you will be an integral part of our sales team, where an entrepreneurial mindset is not just encouraged but essential. Your primary mission is to foster and expand relationships with our existing clients by offering tailored solutions that align with their needs and objectives. Are you up for this exciting challenge? The Belgian accounting market is already familiar with our Silverfin solution, but our product keeps evolving and new features are developed every day. You will be essential in helping us expand our services by spotting opportunities and growth potential within our current client portfolio. To maximise every sales conversation, a close collaboration with our Customer Success and Product Team is crucial. You will apply an automated approach across your portfolio in order to be fully efficient and successful.  

A successful Account Manager should possess a good understanding of industry pain points and trends. Your expertise will empower you to articulate precisely how our solution addresses these needs. We're looking for a quick learner, tech-savvy, forward-thinking, solution-oriented, professional, and tenacious individual. We are continuously refining our processes, so being a strong team player is imperative.

Your responsibilities

    • Cultivate Client Relationships: Develop and nurture positive relationships with our client base, fostering trust and satisfaction.
    • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for our valued clients in Belgium, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
    • Client Needs Alignment: Listen attentively to clients' needs, both short-term and long-term, and align them with our company's growth objectives when applicable.
    • Client Portfolio Growth:Implement automated and precisely targeted campaign approaches to upsell our client portfolio of commercial or enterprise customers, driving revenue growth and maximising our ARPA.
    • Client Support: Assist clients in making informed decisions and advancing with Silverfin by providing guidance through workshops, presentations, and webinars.
    • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with team members, including your Manager, the Customer Success department, and our Sales Operations Manager, to maximise client adoption  of Silverfin.
    • Alignment with Other Departments: Coordinate with our Marketing and Technology teams to execute shared strategies, including campaign launches and initiatives.
    • Represent the Company: Act as a business ambassador by representing Silverfin's expertise and solutions in industry events and conferences.
    • Product and Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about new products and services, industry trends, and competition to effectively execute our sales strategy.

What would success look like?

    • Client Growth: Successfully grow revenue from existing clients while maintaining high client retention rates.
    • Efficient Scalability and Increased Profitability: Achieving significant revenue growth and increased client value within the commercial or enterprise customer portfolio through effective upselling campaigns, while maintaining high client satisfaction (NPS) and engagement.
    • Client Enablement: Facilitate client progress through educational activities like workshops, presentations, and webinars.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal, to achieve shared goals.
    • Campaign Success: Work with marketing and technology teams to execute successful campaigns that drive client engagement and growth.
    • Industry Representation:Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and represent the company as a business ambassador.
    • Ethical Conduct: Uphold high ethical standards in all interactions and contribute to fostering an ethical workplace culture.

Experience and Qualifications

    • Account Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Account Management or a related role, preferably within the SaaS or technology-driven sector.
    • Sales Proficiency: A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, including experience in upselling and cross-selling to existing clients.
    • Client Relationship Management: Strong background in building and maintaining long-term client relationships, prioritising client satisfaction and retention.
    • Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and executing account plans aligned with company growth objectives and client needs.
    • Educational Engagement: Familiarity with conducting workshops, presentations, webinars, or similar activities to empower clients and enhance their product usage.

Skills and knowledge

    • Communication Skills: Fluent and professional use of Dutch and English. French is considered as a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally with the team and externally with clients. The ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively and drive revenue growth. Ability to navigate and influence in complex B2B sales environments.
    • SaaS Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the SaaS industry, particularly in the B2B space, with knowledge of trends, competitors, and customer needs.
    • Product Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the Silverfin product and how it meets the needs of the target market. The ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value proposition (once you’re onboarded). 
    • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments to achieve shared goals.
    • Processes: Familiarity with modern sales methodologies, CRM systems, and sales tools to optimise processes and enhance team productivity.
    • Market Analysis: The ability to conduct market analysis, identify opportunities, and stay informed about industry changes that could impact sales strategies.
    • Data Analysis: Proficiency in using data and analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve sales outcomes.

    • Strong Work Ethic: Uphold diligence, accountability, and a commitment to delivering quality results.
