THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced, globally-minded LICENSING professional (full time) with a deep knowledge of the world of fashion and lifestyle and strong interest in licensing, to join our global licensing department based in Amsterdam.
In this position, you will support the Senior Licensing Manager and Licensing Manager in developing and growing the licensing business in a variety of categories. You will thoughtfully evaluate new licensing and collaboration opportunities, while assisting in managing and tracking performance of existing partnerships and seeing through renewals, overseeing execution of partner obligations to steward critical growth, and maintaining a high-quality brand image through effective leadership.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the license partner relationship, acting as the key liaison on assigned licensees across multiple categories and geographies
- Involved in the day to day licensing activities within the department supporting on key account management and managing communication flows as the POC with internal and external stakeholders
- 360 project management of licensing projects and managing internal and external reporting
- Communicate internal distribution strategies to the licensee and synergize with Karl Lagerfeld initiatives, working closely with Sales Team.
- Work closely with marketing to develop and provide relevant marketing support to partners to increase sell-in and sell-through.
- Monitor global distribution for licensed products, maintaining alignment with internal distribution and sales strategies
- Manage some brand partners and collaborations with other brands in relation to marketing plans, launch, campaign shootings, event coordination, etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups in Amsterdam and Paris (marketing, communication, product management, e-com, retail, sales, finance) to build support and consensus for the licensing business.
- Provide support on new initiatives and business opportunities through research, competitor analysis, trends, etc.
The Profile
- 2-3 years' minimum experience in brand licensing in the fashion/luxury business
- University degree, preferably in economics or business related.
- Has demonstrable examples of successfully managing multiple projects.
- Energetic and willing to contribute, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management – internal and external
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
- Willing to travel as much as needed
- Willing to relocate to Amsterdam
- Fluent in English.
