PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Provide key support in the collection development of the Karl Lagerfeld Menswear Ready To Wear Main Line. You will be closely working together with the Menswear Design team and the Product development team completing daily tasks such as design research and updating Design and product overviews, graphic artworks and technical sketches.
You will assist the Menswear Designers during the whole process of the Collection’s development, participating in fittings, proto reviews, photo shootings and anything that will happen along the process.
Skills, Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in fashion course eg. Fashion Design
- Language: fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Distinctive product and color taste level
- Good to excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop is a necessity
- CLO 3D knowledge is a bonus
- Interest in the Menswear
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Research
- Creating Tech packs and artwork to support the Design Team
- Creating/updating Technical Sketches
- Working on Seasonal Overviews/Range plans/Colour boards/Fabric boards under the guidance of the Design Team.
- Ensuring all Seasonal files and mood boards are kept up-to-date.
- Preparing fitting sessions and organizing/recording relevant information
- Generally supporting the Design Team and helping to keep the office orderly at all times
- Organizing and maintaining fabric library, and sample archive
Profile
- Strong eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Researching – art-based and fashion-based reference
- Be up to date with the latest trends and designs.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Flexibility, adaptability and a positive "can-do" attitude are a must
- Strong interest in swimwear, lingerie, sleepwear and activewear
- Comfortable working across men’s and women’s product categories
- Organized, great time management.
Start date: 2nd of January 2025 / Available for 6 months / Full-Time
Please note that we can only consider your application if you are enrolled for the full duration of your internship at your school or university. Also, due to Dutch legislation, you have to be in possession of European nationality or study in the Netherlands.
