The Role

The Senior Retail Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing retail marketing strategies to drive traffic, increase sales, and enhance KARL LAGERFELD’s presence in both Full Price and Outlet Own & Operated retail stores. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create compelling in-store experiences and effective marketing campaigns. The position requires a strategic, creative approach to delivering KPI-driven brand experience marketing.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager of Retail, this role supports the building and implementation of the global brand message and strategy, maximizing marketing opportunities and ensuring optimal exposure across the retail landscape. The ideal candidate is a driven, multitasking, and a strategic team player with experience working across multiple teams and projects at various stages of delivery. This role requires the ability to simultaneously drive brand awareness and footfall to stores, while developing dedicated marketing plans and experiences for O&O environments. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can use their initiative to drive best practices across multiple channels while adhering to KARL LAGERFELD’s brand DNA and vision.


This role encompasses but is not limited to:

O&O Roles:

    • Support and develop Integrated Marketing Plans and calendars for both Full Price and Outlet O&O stores.
    • Drive and maximize 360 Integrated Marketing strategies across channels in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Oversee and manage the roll-out of the O&O Marketing Plans, budgets and spends
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration between Marketing, Sales, Retail, Product, Digital, VM, and the PR team.
    • Fortify and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to maximize exposure and opportunities.
    • Oversee the localization, preparation, and execution of all in-store events and activations.
    • Execute marketing initiatives, activations, and events for the O&O network in Retail.
    • Participate actively in weekly/monthly calls with Area Managers, Store Managers, and Senior Management.
    • Responsible for retail marketing reporting, creating calendars, and compiling and sharing strong and coherent monthly and seasonal marketing reports internally.
    • Evaluate and monitor the performance of marketing campaigns, activations, and events, recommending improvements for future activations based on set KPIs.
    • Develop and execute VIP, Corporate Partnerships and trade alignment programs for the O&O business.

Other Responsibilities:

    • Tactical Tool Development: Develop marketing tactical tools seasonally in collaboration with the Product and Digital teams.
    • Communication Roll-out: Drive and oversee newsletter and WhatsApp communication roll-out for Full Price and Outlet.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
    • 3+ years of proven experience in fashion, luxury or FMCG brands, preferably in a retail environment. (Global or Regional experience preferred).
    • Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives.
    • Experience in brand experience/events (is a plus).
    • Strong understanding of the market landscape and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed and multi-layered environment.
    • Ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
    • A detail-oriented, ROI and data-driven (desire to see efforts link to conversion/sales), and creative eye, combined with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Team player.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas and solutions.
    • Experience in managing and mentoring team members, with a proven ability to lead and develop direct reports.
