People Manager
We are looking for a People Manager to support our Czech business across the full employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look quite the same. From helping new joiners have a great first experience at Aevi, to supporting managers with people matters, coordinating payroll activities, and ensuring our People processes run smoothly, you'll play an important part in creating an environment where people feel supported and set up for success.
You'll work closely with employees, managers, and the wider global People team, acting as a trusted point of contact and helping to turn People policies into practical, people-focused solutions. Alongside the day-to-day operations, you'll contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, support learning and development, and help make Aevi a great place to work.
If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, loves bringing structure to complexity, and is equally happy supporting employees, improving processes, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
Talent Attraction & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities, including maintaining job descriptions, participating in interviews, coordinating approvals, and assisting with salary benchmarking.
- Prepare offers, employment contracts, and onboarding documentation, ensuring a smooth candidate experience from offer acceptance through to joining.
- Manage employee records and onboarding activities across HR systems, including HiBob and recruitment integrations.
- Collect and validate employee data, right-to-work documentation, and support visa and work permit administration where required.
- Coordinate inductions, mandatory training, first-day logistics, and pre-employment screening.
- Maintain accurate records across HR, attendance, learning, and compliance systems, including statutory reporting obligations.
Learning & Development
- Support internal mobility and career development initiatives.
- Coordinate learning activities, workshops, external training providers, and English language programmes.
- Assist with the annual performance and development cycle.
Employee Experience & Culture
- Help shape Aevi's culture locally while acting as a role model for our values.
- Monitor employee engagement through regular check-ins, pulse surveys, and feedback initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and contribute to People projects and retention initiatives.
People Partnering
- Build trusted relationships with employees and managers, providing first-line People support and guidance on local policies and practices.
- Partner with managers on employee relations matters, team dynamics, engagement, and performance conversations.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of People policies and processes.
People Operations & Payroll
- Deliver accurate and timely People administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Act as a key contact for employee queries relating to payroll, benefits, leave, promotions, and employment changes.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, sickness absence, joiners, leavers, overtime, bonus payments, and salary changes.
- Prepare contract amendments, maintain employee records, support annual tax administration, and liaise with payroll providers and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with Czech employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate local health and safety activities, mandatory training, medical examinations, and related audits.
- Ensure all statutory obligations and People compliance requirements are met.
What you'll bring:
- Fluent Czech and English.
- Experience in a broad HR Generalist, People Partner, HR Operations, or People & Culture role.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of Czech employment legislation and HR practices.
- Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and payroll coordination.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with HR systems; HiBob experience would be an advantage.
