Zoī is looking for our first Analytics Engineer to join our highly engaged and expanding Data Team. Our mission—to deliver the most comprehensive preventive healthcare check-ups and tailored action plans—relies heavily on using data science to support our physicians. Each check-up produces millions of data points that must be analyzed to enable accurate diagnostics and deliver highly personalized recommendations to our members.
The Data Team plays a central role in achieving this mission. We’re seeking a skilled and accomplished Analytics Engineer who will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, R&D, and Medical Operations, to identify key areas for exploration, establish data-driven processes, and deliver impactful data insights.
Main Missions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, R&D, medical operations, healthcare professionals) to understand business requirements and provide data solutions that improve decision-making
- Develop and maintain robust and production-quality SQL pipelines for several business domains, adhering to engineering best practices and making sure the models are tested, documented and easy to use for other business stakeholders
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, and interpret complex data sets to deliver actionable insights.
- Identifying new opportunities for data usage and ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders, with a heavy focus on creating reusable and scalable analytical solutions to empower and promote a self-service data culture
- Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Build the analytics engineering function by actively contributing to internal guidelines and best practices, suggesting process enhancement and adoption of new tools
- Keep up to date with latest industry standards and emerging tools
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or in data analytics role, with hands-on experience on data modeling
- Strong proficiency using SQL in cloud data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
- Familiar with Git for version control, and experience in working in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with Python for data analysis
- Experience with DBT
- Experience working with modern data stack technology, ideally during the setup and/or scaling phase, or working in healthcare, would be advantageous
- Resilience, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent French and strong English written & spoken skills mandatory
