XTB Lithuania is a critical hub in our European expansion, not merely a local branch. As the Head of Finance, you will move beyond traditional oversight; you will serve as a core strategic partner to our local Board, translating complex financial insights into tangible business growth and shaping the future of our operations in the region.
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Head of Finance to lead our local financial operations in Vilnius. You will hold overall responsibility for the finance, accounting and tax functions, serving as the primary anchor for reporting accuracy and regulatory excellence.
In this role, you will also take ownership of client fund safeguarding processes and reconciliations, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the highest level of financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a central member of the local leadership team, providing actionable financial intelligence that drives operational decisions and market expansion.

Core Oversight: Take full responsibility for finance and accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Lithuanian Tax & Accounting: Ensure absolute compliance with Lithuanian (VAS) and global (IFRS) and tax regulations, including statutory reports and VAT declarations.

Supervisory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Bank of Lithuania, including Capital Adequacy and MiFID II-related returns.

Capital Adequacy & Risk: Monitor regulatory capital requirements and safeguard company liquidity limits.

Strategic Planning: Lead local budgeting and forecasting to support growth trajectory in the Baltics and broader EU.

Internal Controls: Maintain robust control frameworks to minimize operational and financial risks.

HQ Integration: Collaborate with the parent company to streamline group consolidation and operational alignment.

Audit & Liaison: Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax authorities (VMI), and regulatory inspectors.

Grow Your Team: As our business operations and footprint in Lithuania grow, you will have the mandate and responsibility to hire and lead a local finance team.

Leadership & Culture: Define KPIs, establish workflows, and foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the local finance department.

Change Management: Drive technological and process transformations that align the local finance function with the group’s global standards of innovation and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For

Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience, including 2+ years in a senior role within a regulated financial institution or consultancy firm.

Expertise: Deep understanding of Lithuanian tax laws, VAS, IFRS, and MiFID II frameworks.

Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in translating complex financial data into clear, strategic recommendations for C-level stakeholders.

Change Management & Scale: Proven experience in scaling finance processes and driving operational improvements within fast-paced, high-growth (Scale-up) environments.

Leadership Mindset: A proactive approach to building and mentoring high-performing teams, with a focus on fiscal accountability and cross-functional influence.

Languages: Fluency in both Lithuanian and English.
