The XTB Analysis Department is looking for a person for the position of Financial Markets Analyst. The ideal candidate will be passionate about financial markets, with a particular focus on macroeconomic analysis, including economic forecasts and the foreign exchange market. The person employed in this position will be responsible for monitoring global economic trends, analysing their impact on markets, and preparing analyses, commentaries, reports, and recommendations for our clients and for internal use.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing monitoring and analysis of macroeconomic data from key global economies.
- Preparation of daily and recurring market commentaries and analytical reports.
- Identification of potential investment opportunities based on fundamental and macroeconomic analysis.
- Cooperation with other departments to provide comprehensive analyses and decision-making support.
- Preparation and presentation of analyses for internal and external purposes, including media appearances, webinars, and conferences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position at a financial institution, such as a brokerage house, bank,
- investment fund, or in preparing analyses for information channels.
- A university degree in economics, finance, statistics, or a related field, or currently pursuing such a degree.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments, and economics.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think synthetically.
- Fluency in Polish and English, both spoken and written.
- Independence, proactivity, and commitment to assigned tasks.
Additional advantages
- Ability to programme in Python in order to automate analyses, process large datasets, and create advanced visualisations.
- Practical experience in using AI/ML tools for forecasting market trends, sentiment analysis, or econometric modelling.
- Knowledge of analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, Macrobond, or Refinitiv Eikon.
- Professional certifications, such as CFA, Securities Broker, or Investment Adviser.
