Service Desk Engineer – Athens

The Role:
We are looking for energetic and passionate Service Desk Engineer who will monitor, maintain and provide high quality systems support to the company’s department. You will be responsible for managing and resolving IT related issues/queries in an efficient and effective manner. You will also be involved in the company’s other IT projects as required. The main responsibilities of the position include:

    • Install, replace and configure computer hardware, operating systems, trading platforms and applications
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software conflicts and repair or adjustments when necessary
    • Install and troubleshoot Windows/MacOS based systems
    • Work with Microsoft O365, GSuite, Azure and cloud technologiesAssist with the administration of Windows operating system, Azure Portal
    • Perform routine audits of systems and software, and resolve any problems identified
    • Administer the company’s ticketing system and respond to staff requests in the agreed SLA, and log all IT support helpdesk calls in the ticket system
    • Monitor our systems by using monitoring tools
    • Provide guidance, support and training to staff on IT related issues
    • Liaise with external associates to solve any problem

Main requirements:

    • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, or any other relevant field
    • Experience in a similar position will be a major plus
    • Knowledge to troubleshoot hardware (laptops, PCs, phones, printers, scanners)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365, Windows OS Troubleshoot (MacOS knowledge is considered a plus but not a must)
    • Understanding of Active Directory including Domain, Group, User structure and rights
    • Provide Level 1 support to the users
    • Escalate issues to the Level 2 team and other IT teams
    • Basic Knowledge of Networking
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Proactive and efficient with strong organisational skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work independently
    • Provide a fast, polite and efficient responses to all staff
