Financial Risk Officer – Cyprus

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated professional to join our Financial Risk team. The successful candidate will evaluate and take necessary actions on the risk alerts received from our Payment Service Providers related to clients’ deposits. As a Financial Risk Officer, you will monitor clients’ deposits and ensure that the fraud rules of the Company’s Payment Service Providers' accounts are working properly

The main responsibilities of the position include:

    • Investigate and monitor credit card risks related to Chargebacks and third-party client deposits
    • Monitor the Company’s Payment Service Providers’ accounts and ensure that the fraud rules applied are working properly
    • Evaluate alerts from Payment Services Providers and take any necessary action
    • Collaborate with Back Office, Middle Office and Compliance Departments in special/large fraud cases and provide support and guidance to the Customer Experience team
    • Liaise with external and internal associates as necessary

Main requirements:

    • BSc/MSc in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Finance/ Economics or any other relevant degree
    • Experience in a similar position is considered an advantage
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to cope under pressure
    • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
    • Excellent computer literacy
