The Role:
Are you passionate about cloud strategy? If so, we invite you to embark on an exciting journey with us as a Cloud Architect and your main focus will be leading our organization towards a cloud-native approach. This involves designing, reviewing, and implementing cloud solutions, participating in standards creation and review committees, and utilizing the "architectural board" extensively. You should be comfortable with implementing proof-of-concepts and creating detailed documentation. Additionally, you'll play a key role in defining policies, standards, and procedures, as well as contributing to solution and architectural designs and PoCs. In summary, you'll be responsible for driving our organization's Cloud Adoption Roadmap.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Create roadmaps according to cloud capacity and ecosystem dimensions such as efficiency, resiliency and security
- Collaborate with software, system, and InfoSec engineers to ensure cloud adoption follows organizational standards and best practices as well as analyze, investigate, and respond to technical issues in a professional manner within expected timeframes
- Design diagrams, and other types of software artifacts, to decode a particular problem
- Ensure all cloud solutions comply to best practices
- Implement and oversee all aspects of the cloud environment including provisioning, scale, monitoring, and security
- Deliver cloud strategies, aligned with business objectives, and with a focus on cloud migrations
- Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application movements into the cloud including implementation of Azure or AWS within global enterprise environments
- Nurture cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive cloud adoption
- Implement required systems, solutions, proof-of-concepts, and processes needed to manage cloud cost, monitoring, scalability, and redundancy that are accounted for and continuously validated
Main requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Relevant industry certifications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate or Professional
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting cloud solutions
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation)
- Top-notch documentation skills including layered diagrams
- Experience in architecting and assessing enterprise solutions
- Strong organizational, communicational and documentation skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong team player
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Experience in Linux Administration, Networking, Databases and Devops methodology
- Knowledge of additional cloud technologies such as GCP, Azure, API Management, and Identity Management
- Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc)
- Scripting/coding skills
- Thorough understanding of CI/CD principles
- SysOps skills (understanding of networking & security principles)
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Associate SysOps Administrator – Associate
