Digital Channels Fraud Prevention Officer
The Role:
As a Digital Channels Fraud Prevention Officer, you will be the primary shield for our web product’s ecosystem. You will be focusing on monitoring and securing digital advertising traffic and client acquisition across all web platforms. Your mission is to ensure that our web-based growth is driven by real users, not bots or manipulative scripts.
You will be the subject matter expert on browser-based traffic (Desktop & Mobile Web), responsible for identifying sophisticated fraud patterns that bypass standard filters and ensuring our marketing budget is spent effectively.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Continuously monitor the quality of inbound traffic across all acquisition channels (Affiliates, PPC, Programmatic)
- Design and implement detection strategies for web-specific threats: Cookie Stuffing, Referral Spoofing, Ad Injection, and Lead/Form spam
- Audit web-attribution flows to prevent "last-click" hijacking and ensure media sources are credited accurately based on genuine user intent
- Utilize browser fingerprinting, behavioral analysis (DOM-level interaction), and proxy/VPN detection to distinguish between human users and automated traffic (Headless browsers, Selenium/Puppeteer scripts)
- Work alongside Marketing and Finance to provide data-backed evidence for invoice adjustments. You will be responsible for flagging Invalid Traffic (IVT) to minimize financial leaks
- Directly support the Head of Fraud Prevention by developing automated dashboards (KPIs: IVT rates, anomaly alerts, conversion quality) and contributing to the overall fraud prevention roadmap
- Act as a technical bridge between Data/BI teams and business units to refine detection models and investigative processes
Main requirements:
- 3+ years working experience in a similar position, Fraud Prevention, AdTech, or Traffic Quality, with a specialized focus on Web/Browser ecosystems
- Web technology expertise - a deep understanding of HTTP protocols, cookie management, user-agent spoofing, and JavaScript-based tracking vulnerabilities
- Proficiency in analyzing large-scale traffic logs and conversion funnels to identify non-human behavior
- Solid grasp of modern web fraud tactics (e.g., botnets, data-center traffic masking, residential proxy abuse)
- Ability to present clear, data-driven investigative results to both technical teams and business stakeholders
- A proactive mindset, capable of flagging risks early and working independently under the guidance of the Head of Department
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery/PostgreSQL) and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)
- Basic knowledge of Python or JavaScript for automating routine audit tasks
- Previous experience in Fintech or high-volume Performance Marketing
Benefit from:
- Attractive remuneration package plus performance related reward
- Intellectually stimulating work environment
- Continuous personal development and international training opportunities
