Associate Financial Control Officer
The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Financial Control Officer to join our Financial Control – Client Funds Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing, international finance department and contribute to the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of our financial operations!
Main responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of client funds from source systems to trading platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., CySEC, FSC)
- Identify and report discrepancies to the Back Office Manager, coordinating with relevant departments for timely resolution
- Monitor client fund exposures and ensure adherence to limits across payment processors and liquidity providers
- Maintain optimal fund levels across payment channels to enable timely client withdrawals
- Carry out internal fund transfers, FX transactions, and support liquidity management for daily operations
- Review notifications from Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and communicate with them to verify data and resolve issues
- Prepare and submit reports to meet scheduled and ad-hoc regulatory obligations
- Organize and deliver reconciliation data for internal and external audit purposes
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Middle Office and Compliance, as well as external advisors
- Maintain expertise across all payment methods to ensure effective team coverage
- Utilize and optimize systems including MT4/MT5, BI tools, Back Office systems, Methodos Reconciliation System, and Core
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance reconciliation processes
- Support related financial control projects across Group entities
- Stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments and industry best practices related to reconciliation and client asset protection
Main requirements:
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or another related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a reconciliation role, or a role with similar responsibilities will be considered an advantage
- Experience with the Methodos Reconciliation System will be considered an advantage
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in problem solving and critical thinking
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
