Quantitative Trader – Cyprus
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Trader to join one of our affiliated Companies. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing trading strategies across various FX instruments. Using advanced quantitative techniques and cutting-edge technology, you will strive to generate alpha and optimize trading execution performance.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Research, develop, and implement quantitative trading strategies to exploit market inefficiencies.
- Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and mathematical modelling to forecast market trends and identify trading opportunities.
- Design, back test, and optimize trading algorithms to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns.
- Monitor and analyse market data in real-time to make informed trading decisions.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance trading infrastructure and tools.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and incorporate new methodologies and technologies into trading strategies.
Main requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or any other relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong quantitative skills and expertise in statistical analysis, probability theory, and time series analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java.
- Knowledge of financial markets and trading instruments, with previous experience in algorithmic or quantitative trading
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
