Information Security Engineer - Cyprus or Greece
The role:
We are looking for a hands-on passionate Information Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and configuration of our next generation firewalls, and for the security of our infrastructure.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Provide operational support to the business
- Investigate operational alerts regarding the network infrastructure in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with senior team members and contribute to the projects the team delivers
- Report and stay abreast of current security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Document and maintain existing documentation related to technologies or procedures used by the team
- Help with the administration and maintenance of the organisation’s firewalls
Main requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Information Technology or other relevant degree
- Minimum 2 years working experience in a related position
- Hands-on experience with firewall administration will be considered an advantage
- Strong interest in security
- Demonstrate good knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, WAF and VPNs
- Basic understand of various information system technologies (Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, VMware, databases etc)
- Entry level network engineer qualifications (CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA Network +) will be considered an advantage
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Analytical and methodical
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Adaptable and fast learner
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Team player
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines
