We are bringing ERP into the AI era by building an AI Business Automation Platform for SMEs. Instead of traditional, static ERP systems, our platform utilizes AI agents to automate mission-critical business processes—from sales operations and purchasing to logistics and customer communication. With a foundation of 2,000+ existing ERP customers, we have the real-world data and workflows needed to redefine how businesses run.
 
The Role: 

We are not looking for a traditional "Manager," but a Founder-level technical partner. This role is a unique hybrid of Staff/Principal Engineer, Product Builder, and Engineering Leader. This role is responsible for significantly driving our revenue through AI. You will own the AI architecture, build production-ready systems hands-on, and lead a high-performing team - all while working as the "right hand" to the founder to define our AI strategy. Ultimately, our AI initiatives are core to our growth and success, so it’s important that the role clearly reflects both a strong business and technology mindset. 

Your Tasks

  • You design and evolve the framework for AI agents, automation workflows, LLM integrations, and RAG (knowledge retrieval) systems. You ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and deeply integrated into complex business workflows.

  • You lead by doing. You will actively contribute to the codebase, building AI toolchains, event-driven automation, and decision systems that interact with real ERP data.

  • You work directly with the founder to identify automation opportunities. You will validate solutions with real customers, ensuring our AI solves actual business pain points rather than just being "cool tech".

  • You recruit and mentor a small, elite team of builders. You are responsible for fostering a pragmatic, high-velocity engineering culture and removing technical blockers.

  • You act as the internal authority on AI. You will align with Product and Engineering departments to help them integrate AI capabilities and educate stakeholders on the possibilities and limitations of the tech.

Your Profile

  • You have a track record as a Staff/Principal Engineer or Technical Founder who thrives at the intersection of Architecture, Product, and Team Leadership.

  • You possess deep experience in backend system architecture, distributed systems, and API design. You are highly proficient in LLM orchestration, AI agents, and data pipelines.

  • You think in business workflows. You can move quickly from a high-level idea to a production-ready implementation, always keeping the customer’s process in mind.

  • You lead by technical example, not just through administration. You know how to hire "strong builders" and balance the need for speed with long-term system quality.

  • You prefer building over theorizing. You are comfortable with ambiguity, highly execution-focused, and curious about simplifying complex business processes.

  • You are fluent in both English and German.
