Wypoon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team at Wypoon. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support our data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data is accurate, complete, and easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
    • Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing best practices for data cleansing, validation, and enrichment.
    • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to design and implement data models and algorithms that support business intelligence and machine learning applications.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, ETL workflows, and data models.
    • Optimize data infrastructure performance, including database indexing, query optimization, and resource allocation.
    • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
    • Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
    • Proficiency in database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
    • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in the English Language (at least B2 in speaking, writing, listening, and reading)
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
