About the Role
Be part of a team that is responsible for providing application development and operations to different mobile online services which allow VW Group customers to connect to the car remotely, such as Vehicle Battery Management, Pre-Trip Acclimatization and Remote Vehicle Status. To do so, we work with technologies such as Linux, Tomcat, AWS, Splunk, New Relic, Bamboo, among others. The aim of the service is to ensure efficient and qualified operation, with sustainable development.
What you will do
• Develop/deploy/maintain automotive backend based on Java;
• Work in the context of automotive, you will use DevOps principles to create, test and deploy backend solutions as well as internal tools using on-prem infrastructure;
• Maintain infrastructure as code, be responsible for the platform engineering and support for software development in our tools and processes.
• Development, optimization and automatization focused on the increase of application efficiency and availability.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
• Operating and maintaining continuous integration / delivery pipelines
• Troubleshoot, monitor, configure, maintain, and automate software and infrastructures
• Contribute with your team and other teams on all questions around backend and tool development in an automotive environment;
What you will bring
• Academic Background in Information Technologies or relevant previous experience in Development
• IT knowledge (network, databases, application servers and how they fit together);
• Proficiency with Java
• Passionate about technology, problem solving and eagerness to learn
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Willing to engage in our international mindset and culture.
