This role aims to monitor all the VWDS Policies, operational processes and procedures using the Group Compliance Management System to ensure that the company complies with all legal regulations and ethical standards. In this role you will directly report to VWDS CISO

• Support the definition of policies, guidelines and risk-based processes in accordance with local law, relevant guidelines, and Volkswagen Group’s requirements

• Support internal departments in the implementation of Group-wide regulations and policies

• Support the adequate integration of compliance/GDPR compliance measures into the company’s processes and instruments

• Support the performance of risk assessments, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing compliance/GDPR compliance risks to develop mitigating strategies

• Support the regular and accurate reporting of relevant compliance/GDPR compliance topics and risks to relevant bodies, including Group-wide inquiries

• Collaborate with internal departments and provide guidance to management and staff on compliance/GDPR compliance-related matters

• Participation in the design of Compliance/GDPR compliance contracts, regulations, processes and systems

• Advice and support to data subjects requests (employees, applicants, customers, etc.)

• Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization by supporting the implementation of training and awareness measures;

• Advice on the implementation of effective and risk-appropriate tools and methods

• Support the handling of indications of potential compliance/GDPR compliance violations

• Effectively liaison with external law firms

• Perform necessary legal research and provide appropriate legal advice to business and central units, as required

• Support the monitoring of judicial and regulatory proceedings

• Support the monitoring of regulatory changes, staying abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the business

• Support the performance of risk assessments, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing legal risks to develop mitigating strategies

• Support contract negotiations, conclusion, amendment, and terminations, as well as pre-contractual agreements

• Master’s degree in Law

• At least 3 years of experience in similar tasks 

• Good knowledge of internal control, compliance, GDPR and risk management

• Fluency in the English language (written and spoken)

• Ability to interpret
