What are the skills of a Ramp-Up Manager

Results-driven team player with proven ability to lead and manage a team of individuals effectively. Over three years' cumulative experience providing optimal customer service in a variety of settings. Experienced in providing quality customer experience in the fast-paced and high-volume work environment. Tech-savvy and skilled in learning new programs and software in a timely manner.
To work in this capacity, the following skills are needed – 
• A strong understanding of ramp operations. 
• The ability to read, speak and understand the English language.
• Good communication skills.
• Outgoing personality.
• And relevant work experience. 
• Willing to travel.

What are the responsibilities of a Ramp Up Manager?

Creating a team
• Discussing & analyzing the current status of the products, their roadmap and reflecting the organizational requirements from a GROUP IT SALES Hub perspective (team size, language, long-term strategy and GROUP IT SALES strategy);
• Understanding the viability of the technical scope, highlighting risks and dependencies before the team is ramped up;
• Creating and owning the strategy for new teams, working closely with product management, business developer, existing engineers and other stakeholders;
• Actively participating & driving the ramp-up phase of the teams: hiring interviews, finances, contact with Munich, onboarding, logistics, conferences, and meetups;


Part of the Management team
• Brainstorming the steps needed to achieve goals that benefit the long-term vision of the hub and its teams;
• Actively contributing to the execution of these steps;
• Taking over responsibility for further overhead topics like:
- Business Development;
- Finance/Controlling;
- Marketing related topics;
- HR related topics;
- Office Development & Operations;

Part of the Management team as a local delivery Lead
• Manager of the SoW at VWGS;
• Ensuring the team has all necessary resources from VWGS and GROUP IT SALES to deliver the product;
• Communicating relevant decisions made by VWGS and GROUP IT SALES;
• Initializing changes to this SoW from VWGS side;
• Determining necessary headcount and skills;
• Staying in close contact with the GROUP IT SALES responsible;
• Being the point of escalation at VWGS for problems in the project.

Your Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
    • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles;
    • Background in IT;
    • Previous experience working with digital products in an international context;
    • Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
    • Good analytical capabilities and a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
    • Leadership abilities;
    • Strong people skills and team-oriented mindset (Interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, empathy, conflict management).
