Your responsibilities:
- Working in the context of automotive IoT you will create, test, deploy and run (DevOps) backend solutions and internal tools using modern cloud infrastructure;
- You will develop and maintain functionality for our trucks using agile methodologies, being responsible for integral parts of our technical roadmap;
- You will create products, prototypes and MVPs for near-vehicle services;
- You take care of cloud-native microservices using containers, serverless functions, RESTful APIs and event streaming;
- You will be able to take end-to-end responsibility for the products you build, including the usage of hardware test setups to validate compatibility with embedded systems;
- You advise your team and other teams on all questions around backend and tool development in an automotive IoT environment and work together on continuously improving the service, tooling and processes;
- You take the initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, being the interface between electrical engineers, IT technology and the user. You are a result-oriented individual;
- You are happy to learn new technologies and to solve problems in innovative and pragmatic ways.
Your skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
- At least 3 years of experience;
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
- Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills;
- Solid experience with Clean Code Clean Architecture principles and software design patterns. Emphasis on quality, maintainability and usability;
- Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of complex software solutions in an international context;
- Solid experience with backend development in Java/Kotlin with a focus on RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, MQTT);
- Relevant knowledge in frameworks, ideally Spring Boot;
- Relevant knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL);
- Having an Agile and DevOps mindset;
- Experience with CI & CD and microservice architectures;
- Experience in using and integrating cloud services (preferably AWS) with cloud paradigms like Infrastructure-as-code, PaaS, alerting and monitoring is a plus;
- Knowledge of Python for rapid prototyping and tooling is an advantage.
