The Role:
- Are you an experienced Data Architect with a passion for designing and building scalable data solutions? Do you excel at translating business requirements into robust data architectures? If so, we want you to join our team as a Data Architect. As a Data Architect at Volkswagen Digital:Hub, you will:
- Design and Implement: Create and manage end-to-end data architectures that meet the needs of our business and technical teams.
- Collaborate: Work closely with stakeholders, including data engineers, analysts, and business leaders, to understand requirements and develop data strategies.
- Optimize: Ensure data architectures are efficient, scalable, and secure, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Innovate: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the table.
- Guide: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, promoting best practices and high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture frameworks, including data models, data integration, and data management practices.
- Design and implement data storage solutions (e.g., databases, data warehouses, data lakes) that align with business requirements.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met across all data solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools, ensuring they align with the overall data strategy.
- Provide technical leadership in data architecture, guiding the development and implementation of data solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts. Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and big data technologies (e.g., Flink, Spark).
- Tools: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), data modelling, and data governance frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a strategic mindset.
- Bonus Points: Experience with DBT, Data Vault modelling, machine learning frameworks, real-time data processing, or data visualization tools.
