About the role
 
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Quality and Regulatory team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring our incoming components meet defined specifications. When failure is identified follow the non-conformance process to finalise the disposition. We are open to people with relevant work experience or academic qualifications (i.e. no commercial experience). 

Key Responsibilities will include:

    • Use risk-based sampling techniques to inspect incoming electronic components, assemblies and other goods to ensure the company’s specifications are met.
    • Record and report findings for identification of single issues, patterns and trends and supplier management to enhance the quality of the product.
    • Management of tools and equipment as defined within the specified interval.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments, including production, engineering, and regulatory affairs.

Essential Skills & Experience

    • An understanding of electronics and hardware components (either academic or commercial)
    • Strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritise and plan tasks.
    • Competent in Microsoft products.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for rapid learning.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills & Experience

    • Experience in Medical Device Quality Management Systems ISO 13485.
    • Experience of Hardware /Electronics Quality Inspections.
    • Practical knowledge or experience of engineering drawings and methods (either commercial or academic)
    • Knowledge of engineering measuring tools (either commercial or academic)
