About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Country Manager/Strategic Sales Director to lead our Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) sales initiatives in Japan. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the radiation therapy industry, strong leadership abilities, and a track record of driving sales strategies, expanding market share, and building key relationships. Key Responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in Japan.
    • Define and manage distribution channels
    • Lead and mentor sales team, providing guidance and support to drive individual and team success.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, healthcare providers, distributors, and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).
    • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to recommend innovative strategies and product enhancements.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment and maximise business opportunities.
    • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to assess effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in strategic sales within the radiotherapy medical devices industry, with a strong understanding of the Japanese healthcare market.
    • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share.
    • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in Japanese and English, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation.

Desirable Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
    • SGRT knowledge /experience
