QA Manual Tester
About the role
QA Manual Tester in the R&D department plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of both new and existing product features. This position designs and executes structured test scenarios, identifies defects early in the development lifecycle, and works closely with developers as part of cross‑functional development teams to support high‑quality releases. As part of an innovation‑driven R&D environment, the Software Test Engineer evaluates prototypes, validates early‑stage implementations, and contributes to transforming new concepts into robust, market‑ready solutions.
Key responsibilities will include
- Taking an active part in the design process by analyzing business and technical needs
- Creating end‑to‑end (E2E) test scenarios
- Carrying out manual functional tests and ad‑hoc exploratory testing
- Reporting defects, documenting findings, and providing clear test results
- Closely collaborating with Developers and the Product Owner throughout the development lifecycle
- Supporting other departments by preparing test data and contributing to marketing materials
- Creating, reviewing, and maintaining test documentation required for the release of medical software products
- Using testing experience to proactively suggest improvements to product quality, testing practices, and development processes
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience designing, documenting, and executing manual test cases for desktop or web‑based applications
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
- Familiarity with test design techniques (e.g., Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning)
- Basic understanding of AI‑assisted tools used in testing or productivity workflows
- Experience with exploratory testing and the defect lifecycle
- Strong work ethic with emphasis on collaboration, initiative, and responsibility for one’s own work
- High level of self‑reliance with strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Good command of written and spoken English (B2 level)
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel as part of the role
Desirable Skills & Experience
- SQL knowledge
- Familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development (Specflow/Gherkin)
- Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Basic understanding of API communication
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management platform like Azure DevOps or similar
