About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering first-class service to our customers, involving installations, diagnosing and troubleshooting PC’s (Windows), software, network, and hardware problems.

This position is a field role, requiring extensive travel (70-80% of the time) to different hospitals in Japan, with up to 2-3 nights away and occasional weekends. Additionally, there may be occasions when travel to other areas within APAC

Key Responsibilities will include:

Install, support, and maintain Vision RT product range.
Perform site surveys ensuring all aspects of installation requirements are met in line with Vision RT processes and procedures.
Provide reactive breakdown support (remote and on site).
Provide planned maintenance/ upgrade support (remote and on site).
Plan and perform installations in line with Vision RT installation processes & procedures.
Liaise with customers and our installers.

Essential Skills & Experience

Technically qualified experienced field engineer
Hardware Diagnostic experience.
Excellent knowledge and PC hardware skills including replacing PC components.
Windows 10 and Windows 7; Registry editing; TCP IP Networking; Windows Updates; Com Ports; Firewalls; OS Upgrades; using Windows Images.
Troubleshooting utilising Event Viewer; Error Logs; Debug etc.
Overview knowledge of firewalls and configuration.
Ability to work independently and part of a cross functional teams.
Fluent Japanese and mid level English

Desirable skills & experience

SQL
Medical Devices, ideally Medical Imaging or Radiotherapy
