The role
 
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first-class service to our customers in Indiana/West Michigan. This position is a field role and you will be travelling 70-80% of the time to different hospitals in the state, you also may be required to travel all over the US to cover PTO and also events and trade shows.

Key Responsibilities will include

    • Install, support, and maintain Vision RT product range
    • Perform site surveys ensuring all aspects of installation requirements are met in line with Vision RT processes and procedures
    • Provide reactive breakdown support (remote and on site)
    • Provide planned maintenance/ upgrade support (remote and on site)             
    • Plan and perform installations in line with Vision RT installation processes & procedures
    • Liaise with customers and our installers
    • Travelling to different hospitals throughout Indiana/West Michigan and occasionally other states throughout the US (i.e California, Texas, Florida, New York, etc)

Essential Skills & Experience

    • Field Engineer with Strong IT background
    • Supporting Microsoft environment workstations
    • Device networking and database troubleshooting
    • Excellent PC Hardware diagnostic skills & experience - including component replacement.
    • Windows 10, Windows Server + MS SQL, Registry editing; TCP IP Networking; Windows Updates; Com Ports; Firewalls; OS Upgrades using Windows Images.
    • Troubleshooting utilising Event Viewer; Error Logs; Debug etc.
    • Experience and background knowledge of firewalls and configuration.
    • Ability to install systems, software and hardware using hand tools, at customer sites.
    • Ability to read and work with technical drawings and architects’ drawings
    • Ability to work independently and part of a cross-functional teams.
    • Highly motivated customer focused engineer with excellent customer facing and technical problem-solving skills
    • Comfortable interfacing with clients and other stakeholders at all levels of their organization
    • Supporting external and internal customers in the Field Service Engineers territory
    • Results orientated with a “Can Do” attitude and clear enthusiasm for excelling in customer satisfaction

Desirable Skills & Experience

    • A+ and Microsoft certifications a plus
    • SQL knowledge is preferred
    • Medical Devices, ideally Medical Imaging or Radiotherapy 
    • OSI Models
