About the Team
The Issuing Team delivers merchant-facing software products in the area of card issuing and corporate bank account opening. Our scope covers the full lifecycle — from card issuing applications and merchant onboarding/offboarding to integration with Unzer’s billing systems.
What Your Work Will Look Like
- Implement small features, tests, and bug fixes independently or in collaboration with assigned developers
- Develop features, tests, and bug fixes with guidance and technical support from the team
- Support system operations and assist in investigating production issues
- Analyze requirements, break down problems into manageable tasks, and contribute to reliable solutions
- Debug issues efficiently and support continuous improvement of the platform
What You Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Solid foundation in software development principles
- Basic knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code under guidance
- Familiarity with Agile development practices, Git, and code reviews
- Basic experience with relational databases (SQL) and API integrations
- Experience using collaboration and development tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong willingness to learn, openness to feedback, and ability to work in cross-functional teams
