ABOUT THE TEAM

As part of the Outsourcing team, you are expected to deeply immerse yourself into topics and areas, to identify and manage any obstacle that could hinder the organisation to meet its strategic objectives and ensure that the organisation acts within the set risk appetite set by Unzer. 
This is an exciting role in which you will have the opportunity to act from 2nd line of defence, ensuring fitting outsourcing strategy, risk appetite and governance – to help in making sure that risk and controls are effectively managed within the Unzer group. Within this role, you will be part of the Enterprise Risk division and will work in close collaboration with teams/people across the group. 

About the Role

The candidate will act as the Outsourcing Manager for the Unzer organisation, working as part of the Global Outsourcing function within the Enterprise Risk Department. Additionally, take an important role in improving & maintaining the overall Outsourcing / Governance Framework and roadmap. 
As part of our Luxembourg Office the candidate will have a strong focus on making sure that outsourcing risks and controls related to the offering of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) product in Luxembourg are effectively managed. 

This is an existing role in which you will have the opportunity to act from 2nd line of defence, ensuring fitting outsourcing strategy, risk appetite and governance – to help in making sure that risk and controls are effectively managed within Unzer. Within this role, you will work in close collaboration with teams/people across the group.

What your work will look like: 

    • Ensuring the Outsourcing framework is applied in accordance with the relevant regulations and guidelines.  
    • Be the outsourcing expert and support the teams across the group in outsourcing related matters.
    • Deep dive into outsourcing practices to identify potential roadblocks.
    • Continually assess the Outsourcing Framework and propose changes to meet all internal and external (regulatory, risk and control requirements).
    • Support with the risk assessment of (material) outsourcing contracts.
    • Be the liaison to the internal and external audits as well as other audits in the area of outsourcing management.
    • Implement and monitor training and risk awareness programs.

What you need to be successful in this role: 

    • 2+ years of experience/knowledge of regulatory requirements around Vendor/Third Party and/or Outsourcing
    • Sound knowledge of risk management/internal control and experience in setting up and/or management a risk management framework
    • Understanding of relevant EU regulations, preferably Luxembourgish regulations.
    • Good  knowledge of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and/or intercompany agreement setup (is a plus).
    • Experience working in an agile working environment.
    • Enjoy collaborating with people with different backgrounds and visions, towards the same goal, in a complex environment.
    • Languages: working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English (German/French is a plus).
