ABOUT THE TEAM 
 

Our team is based in Vienna, AT. With oversight responsibility of all Unzer Group Entities. The purpose of our team is to monitor and measure our merchant’s Probability & Exposure at Default. For this role in particular, the mission statement is to execute and support the Planning of the MCR Monitoring Framework & onboarding Responsibilities. Maintain oversight over the Exposure and Probability of Default of the relevant merchant portfolio. In doing so, you help align policies and decision rules to our risk appetite, identify low-risk growth opportunities, and support disciplined, scalable performance for the business within a collaborative, learning-focused team and have the merchant first approach always at out forefront of responsibilities.

What your work will look like:

  • Execution of merchant onboarding tasks related to the estimation of MCR for all relevant payment methods in all onboarding flows of the Unzer Group 
  • Documentation and internal follow up when required of merchant reviews, including internal and external data gathering, update of merchant profiles in 3rd party dashboards and documentation of financial statement analysis 
  • Management of the MCR Alert Handling procedures, including the documentation & follow up to closure of all alerts 
  • Total Execution Insolvency handling procedures: Documentation and follow up with stakeholders 
  • Maintenance of Exposure and Probability of Default (EAD & PD) models. Update of EAD variables per merchant 

What you need to be successful in this role: 

  • In depth, detailed knowledge of MS Excel & any BI Tool (Tableau, Power BI, Metadata). Solid knowledge of the rest of the Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and openly in English. German to a C1 Level is ideal but secondary 
  • Expertise with Financial Statements Analysis, key rations & overall financial/economic indicators for companies & industries 
  • Detailed Knowledge of Risk Management, payment industry or banking
