About the Team

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will report to the Director of Accounting and work closely with various stakeholders across the Unzer Group with a focus on our Luxemburg entity.

You will be involved in the latest Fintech projects and pushing the barrier on what is possible in today's payment market while having full accountability for a group's entity P&L and Balance Sheet. Supported by a deeply skilled Finance team (both locally and across the group) you will be able to bring your ideas on business improvements to life. Unzer is about changing the payments world, and you will be a key advisor in supporting our ambitions. 

What your work will look like:

    • Accounting responsibility and full knowledge for an entity within the group
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB 
    • Cash flow management/payments processing management 
    • Review controls and processes to ensure group and audit compliance  
    • Link into the full 20+ team members in our group finance community 
    • Cooperate with internal stakeholders from IT and business as well as with tax consultants, auditors, banks, and financial authorities 

What you need to be successful in this role:

    • You have experience working as a Senior Accountant with a proven track of managing a finance team within Luxemburg 
    • You are well-versed with month-end and year-end close activities, as well as conducting year-end audit activities 
    • You have practical knowledge of cash flow management/cash processing processes 
    • You have experience in regulatory reporting and reporting into a group structure 
    • You know how to optimize processes and strive to continuously improve them  
    • You have a good sense of ownership and get things done 
    • You can balance the local and group demands while delivering high-quality outputs 

    • Nice to have 
    • Experience in one of the big 4 audit firms 
    • Experience working for a subsidiary within an international group
