ABOUT THE TEAM
The Security Engineering team is responsible for operating and monitoring security systems and using security services provided by cloud service providers to respond to security events/incidents in a timely manner to minimize business impacts. The team deals with security relevant tasks and projects such as security architecture design, security best practices creation and application, security incidents management, security vulnerability management and security solutions deployment in the business environments.
What your work will look like:
- Evaluate the security strategies and contribute to designing and implementing our security architecture.
- Adopt required security controls to protect company assets, working together with application architects and owners.
- Mitigate security risks through security system operations, continuous security monitoring, threat analysis, and security incident response using the SOC platform.
- Discover standard security services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of security services from a variety of service providers.
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help manage security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and compliance guidelines in all highly regulated environments.
- Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You have over 6+ security operations and engineering experience.
- You have a good understanding of security architecture design concepts and practical experience in applying the concepts.
- You have demonstrable experience working with security services offered by cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and can use them to protect organization’s information assets.
- You have strong knowledge of security analysis from the SOC perspectives (detection, triage, investigation, prevention, remediation, mitigation, etc.)
- You are familiar with DevOps environment and have required skill sets to apply cyber security principles, threat modelling and risk assessment.
- You are familiar with compliance frameworks or standards (e.g. NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO27001)
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- You are certified in AWS security specialty or have another relevant AWS certificate.
- You are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- You have a deep understanding of DevOps tools or programming languages (GitHub, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Scripting languages, etc.)
