What you'll do
- Lead and mentor: Manage a team of 5 software engineers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture that encourages learning and team success.
- Drive engineering excellence: Lead design processes, technical reviews, and ensure engineering best practices are followed for consistent, high-quality output.
- Ensure operational excellence: Own production SLAs and ensure on-time delivery and smooth operations.
- Provide technical direction: Drive complex architectural designs, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with long-term goals.
- Collaborate strategically: Partner with Product Management to define priorities, align on requirements, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Cross-team coordination: Manage dependencies across multiple teams and serve as a representative in organizational initiatives.
What you will need
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- 1+ years of leadership experience in managing and mentoring engineers.
- Proven success designing and delivering complex technical solutions.
- Proficiency in Java (other programming languages are a plus).
- Full ownership of the software development lifecycle: concept, design, implementation, and production.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- A passion for team growth, coaching, and building a healthy, high-performing team dynamic.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management in complex environments.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on ownership and accountability.
- This position is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Therefore, we can only accept candidates that already live in or already are in the process of relocating to the Netherlands.

In our team, you'll strive to find the best ways to compile, publish and/or stream terabytes of map content for critical cloud services, advanced autonomous vehicles and large innovative tech companies around the world.
