We are TomTom Search API team. We work on solving tough search problems, making search faster, more reliable and getting our clients where they need to be every day. We make sure our product is stable and take care of our customer needs while also finding the time to implement our creative ideas on how to make things better bound what the requirements state.

What you'll do
- Lead a team of 6-8 software engineers
- Play a part in writing and improving our code
- Participate in reviews of requirements, technical design, and code
- Be responsible for performance management and helping your team members with their career growth
- Drive execution to ensure we ship on time
- Drive operational excellence and be responsible for our production availability SLAs
- Collaborate closely with Product Management on requirements and priorities
- Represent the engineering team in internal cross-team initiatives
What you'll need
- Hands on experience with Java and potentially other programming languages
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 1 or more years of experience in a management role
- Proven track record with complex architectural designs and getting them developed / deployed
- Experience owning the whole software development lifecycle, from idea to production
- Passion for people management and coaching
- Willingness to own your work end-to-end and embrace other aspects of our Leadership Foundation
- You should be comfortable working as a part of a geographically distributed team that prefers writing over virtual meetings
- Good communication skills, ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely

- Experience handling high uncertainty of product requirements
- Experience working with high volumes of data and high volumes of traffic
