Join TomTom as a Data Engineer Intern and play a key role in shaping the future of electric vehicle navigation. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for master’s students passionate about data engineering, providing hands-on experience in building and optimizing data solutions that power next-generation navigation systems.
As part of our Data Engineering & MLOps team, you’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, Machine Learning specialists, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life. Your work will directly impact how millions of drivers experience smarter, greener journeys.
What you'll do
- Analyze real-world car data to uncover insights and improve navigation experiences.
- Enhance and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Implement robust data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop data metrics and dashboards for monitoring and decision-making.
- Research and review stored data to provide compliance recommendations.
What you'll need
- Enrolment in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science.
- Strong proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Interest in automotive technology and electric vehicle navigation.
- Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Azure, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
