Join our team at PU Mobile Apps, where we create innovative product systems for everyday drivers. Our free Android and iOS mobile apps leverage cutting-edge navigation technologies, including online location-based services and client libraries. Our mission is to redefine navigation for both end-users and business clients, benefiting from community feedback and rapid market adaptation. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with our dynamic UX team to develop and deliver groundbreaking features, while also engaging with cloud and voice-enabled functionalities powered by the latest speech recognition and machine learning toolkits.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with UX designers to conceptualise, implement, test, and maintain exciting new features, ensuring successful delivery through teamwork and dedication.
- Create comprehensive automated tests alongside your feature developments, taking pride in your work from inception to deployment, including addressing any defects.
- Actively contribute to maintaining software quality and architectural integrity by designing modular and maintainable features and frameworks, executing refactoring improvements, and upholding high standards through code reviews.
- Work closely with other teams within TomTom Navigation, including those focused on navigation enablers such as routing, traffic, and speed camera data.
- This position is set to start 1st of January 2025.
What you'll need
- Experience in either Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) mobile app development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UI development is a plus but not essential; we value the importance of both visible and underlying app functionalities.
- You should thrive in a self-organizing, empowered team environment.
- Knowledge of macOS, Git, and any scripting languages, along with build and test tooling, would be advantageous.
