We are looking for curious and bright Software Engineers to join our distributed development team. The experience (and future opportunities) includes developing software for navigation systems, working on our online services and mobile SDKs APIs, and providing the best possible user experience to drivers and best-in-class APIs of our Navigation SDK.

Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop new features for the Turn-by-Turn Navigation component within the Navigation SDK, focusing on creating innovative guidance and routing features. 
    • Work in close collaboration with product managers within an empowered team to define, prioritize, and implement software solutions that meet user needs. 
    • Contribute to the entire software development life cycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment, with a strong emphasis on quality and user experience. 
    • Employ Agile and Kanban methodologies to effectively manage and deliver assigned tasks within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 
    • Participate actively in code reviews to ensure high-quality code contributions and to foster an environment of collaborative learning and knowledge exchange. 
    • Engage in architectural and design discussions, providing thoughtful input to help shape scalable and maintainable software systems. 
    • Ensure comprehensive test coverage by creating and maintaining automated tests to validate the functionality of the software and prevent regressions. 
    • Work within a cross-functional team to drive continuous product improvements, always aiming to exceed customer expectations for our SDK offerings. 

Qualifications:

    • 1/3+ years of experience in Android development 
    • Strong proficiency in Kotlin. 
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
    • Solid understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design and best practices for creating maintainable and scalable software systems. 
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 
    • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git. 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 
    • Experience building SDKs is a plus. 
    • Experience with Swift and/or is a plus. 
    • Experience with CI/CD and build tools is a plus.
