Senior Software Engineer C++ (Map Design Tools) will join a cross-functional team composed of front-, back-end Developers and UX Designers. The team develops cloud-based online services that power our map style design application, Map Maker and manages TomTom styles gallery for map visualization purposes.

What you'll do

    • Participate in product discovery (experiments, prototypes), delivery (production grade work) and maintenance (keeping the app stable and running in production environment)
    • Touch many areas, spanning from online API design and cloud infrastructure to test automation
    • Strive for excellence by constantly improving software development practices and team’s way of working
    • work with front-end developers and UX Designers to deliver best user experience to the customers
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and other visualization teams to produce compelling map styling and customization capabilities

What you will need

    • 3+ years of experience with C++ (although we care more about skills)
    • Very good knowledge of the C++ programming language and STL library
    • Good knowledge of design patterns and clean code principles
    • Good knowledge of automated testing techniques and tools
    • Experience with CI/CD
    • Good command of English both in speech and writing
    • Knowledge of some of these is a plus: Git, Azure/AWS, Linux, scripting languages

Nice to have

    • Knowledge of maps and navigation domain
    • Experience with RESTful web services
