TomTom is a leading technology company specializing in location-based services and products. We are seeking to hire a Software Engineering Intern to join our Route Planning software team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge technology company that is shaping the future of driving.  
Start date: 1st of February or 1st of March. 

What you'll do:

    • Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop high-quality software solutions. 
    • Create comprehensive automated tests alongside feature development, taking pride in your work from inception to deployment, including addressing any defects. 
    • Analyze route quality issues using our internal toolset and derive generalized insights based on your investigations. 

What you'll need:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
    • Proficiency in C++ development is a must. 
    • A curious, explorative, and analytical mindset. 
    • Ability to thrive in a self-organizing, empowered team environment. 
    • Familiarity with macOS or Linux, Git, and scripting languages, as well as build and test tooling, is advantageous.

We are Product Unit Directions. We develop software for in-car, mobile and cloud-based navigation applications, solving mobility challenges at scale and making the flow of people and goods on the road safer, easier, and cleaner.

To achieve this and help tens of millions of people around the world, we provide useful information in the form of visual and audio cues to guide the driver along the route and decrease anxiety about being lost.
