During this internship within our Business Intelligence and Analytics team, you will support the validation, analysis, and improvement of geospatial and quality-related data. This role is ideal for a motivated student (Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or related field) who is comfortable working with data, enjoys structured analysis, and is willing to perform drive testing activities in The Netherlands. You will combine desk-based analytical work (Excel, PowerPoint, reporting) with field validation activities.

A valid driving license for The Netherlands and experience driving in The Netherlands is required for this role.

What you'll do

    • Support the validation and quality analysis of geospatial and traffic-related data.
    • Use internal tools and external sources to investigate data discrepancies.
    • Perform drive testing activities in The Netherlands when needed to validate data accuracy.
    • Analyse and document findings using Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Support reporting and presentation of results to internal stakeholders.
    • Contribute to improving workflows and validation processes.
    • Assist in maintaining dashboards and reports (Power BI is a plus).
    • Continuously improve your knowledge of GIS tools, workflows, and quality processes.

What you'll need

    • Background in Geography, GIS / Geomatics, Spatial Data Science, Environmental science, Urban planning or a related field.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Comfortable creating structured presentations in PowerPoint.
    • Experience with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, FME or similar)
    • You hold a valid driving license for The Netherlands and have hands-on driving experience in the country.
    • Comfortable performing drive testing activities as part of the role.
    • Detail-oriented and structured in your approach.
    • Able to work both independently and within a team.
    • You enjoy working with maps, visualizing patterns in space, understanding how location influences real-world problems and interacting with spatial data or exploring satellite and ground truth imagery
