We are looking for an experienced DevOps Architect to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps pipelines within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Azure DevOps, a solid understanding of cloud architectures, and a background in supporting data-related projects. This role will be instrumental in automating and enhancing the CI/CD processes, managing infrastructure as code (IaC), and ensuring scalable and resilient cloud environments to support our data initiatives.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
- Architect, develop, and manage robust DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps for CI/CD, ensuring high standards of deployment automation and integration
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure on Azure to support data-focused projects, ensuring security, reliability, and performance standards are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address project requirements, with a focus on optimizing data pipelines and workflows
- Oversee and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent and repeatable cloud deployments
- Automate cloud infrastructure and operations tasks, such as configuration management, monitoring, and deployment, to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
- Integrate security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring adherence to compliance and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Monitor and optimize DevOps processes, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and potential areas for improvement
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and collaborate closely with development teams to improve the overall DevOps culture within the organization
Ideal profile - What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on Azure ecosystems and data-intensive projects
- Expertise in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline configuration, automation, and best practices
- Strong experience with cloud architecture design and automation, particularly in the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, etc.)
- Proficiency in Terraform
- Extensive experience with data workflows and pipelines, including ETL processes, data storage, and integration with Azure data services
- Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
- Strong understanding of security and compliance standards within cloud environments, especially related to data handling and privacy
